The Collective: A Third Place to Feed Your Mind, Body and Soul

Located in South Lake Union, The Collective is a contemporary home away from home. Divided into two collaborative zones - Alpenglow and High Tide - The Collective satiates a social hunger and quenches a thirst to relax. Upon entering this urban club, you are immediately met by a scene of members hanging out in High Tide playing ping pong, sharing a beer at the bar or connecting with other members in music bungalows. In Alpenglow, members can recharge in a technology-free hammock or share conversation around a comfy campfire. Co-founders Alex and Tommy have created a ‘Third Place’ where members can relax and connect with other like-minded Seattleites.
It is by no coincidence that The Collective feels like a place you can go to unplug from the daily grind. In 2005, childhood friends and Washington natives Alex Mondau and Tommy Trause returned to Seattle after college, ready to find their third place outside of work or home. While they were searching for this place they noticed that bars and restaurants lacked connection - and private clubs did not service their interest in driving social impact and getting outside. From that search, The Collective was born.
“The Collective members come from varying backgrounds and bring a sense of purpose and passion with them. Alex and Tommy have set up the programing in a unique way by grouping interests and topics into tribes. Tribes are sub-groups created by members with shared passions around specific topics.
